Visit the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve...

Visit the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve this Saturday, May 24th to explore the historic cabin of John Joseph Mathews. Known as "The Blackjacks," the cabin was where this renowned Osage historian, author, and conservationist penned much of his work, inspired by his life motto, "To Hunt, To Bathe, To Play, To Laugh—That is to Live!”

The cabin is open for guided public tours on the fourth Saturday of each month May through October, giving visitors the chance to discover the rich legacy of Mathews, his connection to the tallgrass prairie, and his contributions to Osage history and culture. Tours are free, but space is limited and preregistration is required. Find more info and register for your own free tour today at https://tinyurl.com/MathewsCabin
